RAS200: embedding astronomy in society for the future
Contributed
First envisaged in 2013, this £1 million outreach and engagement scheme has sought to embed the Royal Astronomical Society deep within wider society. By working with a number of partners, its projects reach many audiences not traditionally involved with astronomy and geophysics. Over the six years that RAS200-funded projects have been running, they have reached well over 100,000 active participants. This session will give NAM attendees a chance to interact with RAS200 partners, to hear what they are doing and to see how they can get involved.
All attendees are expected to show respect and courtesy to other attendees and staff, and to adhere to the NAM Code of Conduct.
