RAS200: embedding astronomy in society for the future
Contributed
The Planets 360 is a re-imagining of British composer Gustav Holst’s ‘The Planets’ orchestral suite, funded through RAS200. It uses the awe-inspiring full-dome format used in planetariums to create a sonically driven and totally immersive experience. In this session Steven Gray FRAS from Cosmos Planetarium will discuss how he has travelled the UK showing this amazing full-dome film to diverse and remote audiences. Steven will also discuss how he has enhanced the experience by developing presenter led scripts to add extra depth to the sessions and engage audiences further.
