RAS200: embedding astronomy in society for the future
Contributed
Steven Gray
In this session Steven Gray FRAS from Cosmos Planetarium & Dipa Ward from Care 4 Carers will showcase ‘Coll and the Cosmos’, the astronomy themed, residential respite breaks to the Isle of Coll in the Inner Hebrides, funded through RAS200. You will have the opportunity to learn a bit about the journey to Coll and the astronomy themed activities done on the island during the breaks. Also how taking unpaid carers away from their caring responsibilities and introducing them to such an amazing subject, some for the very first time, can make a real difference to their lives.
