Coding is an essential skill all astronomers eventually learn. Over the past decade coding has become a greater focus in the national curriculum with many students learning python at a young age. This talk will explore how we can use students coding skills to improve our outreach and teaching. I will demonstrate how I have incorporated coding into my teaching with interactive Jupyter notebooks. The notebooks incorporate coding in python into our astronomy curriculum and focus on analysing public astronomical data.
All attendees are expected to show respect and courtesy to other attendees and staff, and to adhere to the NAM Code of Conduct.
