Cosmic Star Formation – theory and observations, from the first galaxies to the Milky Way
Invited
I will discuss recent results from observations of star formation in the Milky Way, and from simulations of star formation on Giant Molecular Cloud and isolated galaxy scales. My talk will also include some recent results investigating the impact of photoionisation on spiral arm clouds, and the formation of clusters within clouds.
