Writing Skyscapes – An online exhibition
Monday 19 to Friday 23 July
Immerse yourself in Writing Skyscapes, a multimedia exhibition of words, images, drawing and videos inspired by the sky that invites you to 'look at the skies!'. Featuring images from the Hubble telescope and work by artists, writers and photographers, this exhibition is the culmination of work across several countries exploring the sky at night from multiple viewpoints and from both rural and urban perspectives.
This exhibition is open all week and can be accessed via the Writing Skyscapes website.
Minerva Lecture: Missions to Mars

In the last 12 months alone there have been three international missions to Mars, join astronomer Professor Andrew Coates from University College London’s Mullard Space Science Laboratory as he shares his perspective on the ‘golden age of Mars exploration. Hear about his work on the next mission to the red planet, the European Space Agency’s Rosalind Franklin rover, and some of the exciting early results from the 2021 missions.

Science Showoff presents: Never Explain

For one night only join comedian Steve Cross and two teams of astronomers for an hour of hilarious science comedy combat through the medium of a proper gameshow with Science Showoff presents: Never Explain. Expect to learn one or two things about space but mainly expect to laugh and laugh.

Online Engagement Training
Tuesday 6 July 18:00-20:00
This training session will give attendees an overview of different methods and tools for online engagement and cover best practice for engaging online. The session will be delivered by Jamie Gallagher and will give delegates a chance to share and apply their learning at NAM sessions / outreach activities. Register here.
Science Comedy Techniques Training
Thursday 8 July 18:00 - 19:30
This training session will explore how comedy techniques can be applied to engagement and presentation skills outside the realm of stand-up comedy. The session will be delivered by Dr. Steve Cross and will help delegates develop their engagement skills which they can share and apply in conference sessions / outreach activities. Register here.

You are invited to join us online for When Art and Science Collide - an evening observation which will bring together a panel of science researchers, arts facilitators and artists, all sharing their insights on what makes for a successful Art - Science collaboration.
